Its low-profile shape allows better access in confined areas, especially for pipe welding and fabrication work. This hood uses a standard 2" x 4-1/4" lens, making replacements easy and widely available. The 5/8" lens holder pocket keeps the lens secure and properly positioned, while the wooden lens holder offers durability without adding extra weight. The flip-up design allows quick access to the lens without removing the hood, making it easier for fit-up, inspection, and repositioning between welds. The contoured wooden face piece is shaped to fit naturally against the face, providing improved stability and comfort. A wide adjustable elastic strap keeps the hood secure during extended use without excessive pressure. For a more personalized fit, sandpaper is included so the face piece can be adjusted slightly to match individual preferences. The hood is also compatible with optional elk skin liners (sold separately) for added comfort.
